It is always a pleasure to work with the Puaka Matariki Steering Roopu and Co-ordinator, Antony Deaker. Together they organise a month of celebrations to ring in the Maori New Year. Here are a few of my favourites from this year.

The Māori Health Workforce Development Unit at Otago University are working hard to promote Health Science to young Māori with new promotional material. I really enjoy being a part of this important project and working with such talented Māori students.

I don't do many portraits these days so I was excited about the photoshoot at Aurum. Owners, Ria and Sona Reihana are great to work with and had organised for a group of beautiful models to shoot. Here are a few that were selected for the competition.

This week I joined the School of Pharmacy to document their visit to Ōtākou marae. Staff learnt about Māori protocol and practiced speaking common Māori words. It was a stunning day, really worth the 35 minute drive down the winding peninsula road.
